NuTriene® Tocotrienols
NuTriene® tocotrienols from Eastman are a mixture of naturally occuring tocotrienols and tocopherols extracted and concentrated from rice bran oil. NuTriene Tocotrienol is an oil suitable for incorporation into soft gelatin capsules and other forms of dietary supplement or skin care products.
- Tocotrienols are members of the vitamin E family of antioxidants.
- Eight different compounds, four tocopherols and four tocotrienols, make up the vitamin E family. Food sources contain all eight compounds, but most vitamin E supplements contain only d-alpha-tocopherol.
- Both tocopherols and tocotrienols are powerful antioxidants. As a team these compounds work better than d-alpha-tocopherol alone.
